The Commercial Bank of Scotland (1930. 'B' listed) is one of three magnificent Glasgow banks designed by Miller, on the corner of West Nile Street and West George Street. A 6 storey modern classical bank with a marble lined entrance in West George Street, the doorway features a full height doorpiece. Built of Portland stone with a marble clad plinth, fluted stylised Corinthian pilasters rise to the 1st floor and the 1st floow windows are seperated by a bronze relief frieze featuring xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Eventually becoming the Royal Bank of Scotland and in turn like so many bank branches, licensed premises.

Another commission for the Commercial Bank of Scotland was their branch on the corner of Bothwell Street and Wellington Street (1934, 'B' listed). Built of Portland stone with a polished granite plinth forming the stylobate, the bank features bronze entrance doors in Bothwell Street and a relief sculpted frieze carved by Gilbert Bayes depicting the Qualities of Man in Modern Society, commerce, contentment, industry, justice, prudence and wisdom.
