Caledonian Mansions
Built by the Caledonian Railway Company in 1897 on land acquired for its railway tunnels, Caledonian Mansions ('A' listed), a ‘terrace of shops and dwelling houses’ sits to the north of the site of their Kelvinbridge Railway Station (demolished in 1969 following a fire). The building, in the Free Arts and Crafts/Glasgow style is of polished red ashlar.
